Why should I join if I already support the community?
Joining the Chamber amplifies your support. It connects you with other like-minded businesses and individuals, funds important events and initiatives, and creates real visibility for your business. It’s about showing up for Hubbard — officially — and showing you’re committed to helping it grow.
What does the Chamber actually do throughout the year?
A lot more than most people realize! We host monthly meetings, organize major community events like Magnolias & Mistletoe and Memorial Day Weekend, run two active Facebook pages, coordinate Chamber After Hours, support Clean-Up Day, celebrate grand openings, run monthly Shop Local drawings, host a yearly banquet, feature a monthly business spotlight, and maintain an online member directory. All of this is done by volunteers who love Hubbard.
What are the real benefits of being a member?
Members get social media promotion on our Facebook pages, a listing in our online member directory, eligibility for the monthly business spotlight on our homepage, support at grand openings, networking at Chamber After Hours, inclusion in Shop Local drawings, and recognition at our annual banquet. You also become part of a community of business owners who support each other.
I don’t have time to attend every meeting — should I still join?
Absolutely yes! Your membership supports the Chamber’s work whether or not you attend every event. You’ll still be listed in the directory, promoted on social media, and included in all member benefits. Come when you can — even showing up once or twice a year makes a difference and keeps you connected.
How is the Chamber run? Who is in charge?
The Greater Hubbard Chamber of Commerce is 100% volunteer-run. There are no paid staff — every event, every promotion, every initiative is made possible by community members who give their time and talents because they believe in Hubbard. That’s why every membership and every donation makes such a direct impact.
How does the Chamber promote my business?
We promote member businesses through our two Facebook pages (combined reach of thousands of local followers), our website member directory, the monthly business spotlight featured on our homepage, Shop Local drawings that spotlight members, Chamber After Hours networking events hosted at member locations, and grand opening support with ribbon cuttings and community attendance.
What is the monthly Business Spotlight?
Each month, one Chamber member business is featured on our homepage and promoted across our social media channels. It includes photos, a business description, and links to help drive customers your way. Any active member is eligible — it’s one of the most popular benefits we offer!
What if I just want to support but not be a full member?
We love community supporters! You can make a one-time or recurring donation of any amount through our secure Square checkout. Every dollar stays local and goes directly toward community events, promotions, and initiatives. Click here to donate →
How much does membership cost?
Membership is valid January 1st through December 31st each year. Business Membership is $100/year — that’s less than $9 a month for everything we offer. Personal Membership is $50/year for individuals and community supporters. You can pay securely online with a credit card or mail a check to GHCC, PO Box 221, Hubbard, TX 76648.
Is my payment secure?
Yes! We use Square for all online payments — the same trusted platform used by businesses worldwide. Your personal and financial information is fully protected. You can also pay by check if you prefer — download the printable form on our Join page.
